Our music management application, rekordbox™ ver 5.0, received the award in the Communication - 3.02 Apps/Software discipline. Our HDJ-X professional headphones range – comprising the HDJ-X10, HDJ-X7 and HDJ-X5 models – was awarded in the Product - 1.06 Audio discipline. This is the first time a series of headphones has won in the history of the iF DESIGN AWARD.

rekordbox ver 5.0 won thanks to its simplified GUI design, which enables you to easily use complex features, organise your music collection and prepare for performances without hassle. The HDJ-X headphone models were recognised for their excellent sound quality, durability and functionality, which are all essential for professional DJs. Every aspect of the headphones was designed with DJs in mind – from the shape of each part to the materials they’re made from – to ensure they can be used comfortably for long periods, even in the harshest environments.

Each year, Germany’s oldest independent design organisation – iF International Forum Design GmbH, based in Hannover – organises the iF DESIGN AWARD. In 2018, an international 63-member jury of independent experts judged over 6,400 entries from 54 countries, all hoping to receive the seal of quality. The winners were celebrated at the official awards ceremony on 9 March 2018 at the BMW Welt in Munich.
